Peaks and Pints houses a mind-boggling array of suds: some 650 or so bottled and canned in our cooler, with another 28 on tap, including nitro lines. While craft beer remains our foundation, you don’t have to be embarrassed for ordering artisan craft cider, wine, cold brewed coffee and kombucha as those delights are on tap too at Peaks and Pints. Today, we have the Block 15 Brewing’s DAB Lab: Spruce Tip IPA (6.5%) on line 19 of our Western red cedar tap log. Brewed with Western Oregon foraged spruce tips and a blend of six different hop varietals — including CO2 extractions, lupulin powder, and traditional hops — this entry in the Corvallis brewery’s DAB Lab series offers a unique flavor profile that melds vibrant flavors of coniferous resin and fruit loops from the spruce tips with a hop profile that layers on orange marmalade, jackfruit, fresh citrus, berries, pine, and a whisper of dank herbs.
