Saturday, June 14, 2025: Since it’s National Bourbon Day, Peaks & Pints Kitchen Kylee whipped up a bourbon bacon onion jam for her Saturday Sandwich Special that also includes chicken, light barbecue sauce, mayo, Beecher’s Cheddar and Gouda on sourdough.

PAIRING: Samuel Smith Brewery Taddy Porter

This sandwich—stacked with smoky bourbon bacon onion jam, tangy Beecher’s Cheddar, creamy Gouda, barbecue sauce, and chicken on sourdough—pairs beautifully with Samuel Smith’s Taddy Porter. The beer’s roasty malt character complements the charred sweetness of the barbecue sauce and caramelized jam, while its hints of dark chocolate and coffee create a rich contrast to the creamy cheeses. The porter’s smooth, dry finish cleanses the palate after each indulgent bite, cutting through the fat without overwhelming the layered flavors. Its refined British backbone and subtle sweetness make it a perfect companion for this bold, Southern-inspired sandwich.
