Still daydreaming about high school talent shows, algebra, and post-class strawberry milkshakes? Yeah, we’re neither—but strawberries are on our minds. With over 600 varieties grown worldwide (except in the Arctic zones), the strawberry is a summer icon, peaking in the U.S. from April to August. In beer, this ruby red fruit brings bright, juicy sugars and a fragrant aroma that can tame hop bitterness or round out sour tang. It’s natural acidity adds a refreshing zing without overwhelming the palate. With a fresh crop of strawberry beers now chilling in our cooler, it’s the perfect time to showcase them in today’s fruity, refreshing flight, Peaks & Pints Strawberry Beer Flight.

Fort George Ponchatoula Strawberry Lager
4.2% ABV
Fort George Brewery Ponchatoula Strawberry Lager is a crisp, refreshing seasonal brew inspired by the sweet, sun-ripened strawberries of Ponchatoula, Louisiana—known as the “Strawberry Capital of the World.” Brewed in Astoria, Oregon, this low-ABV lager pours a shimmering gold and features a silky, easy-drinking mouthfeel. It’s crafted with a blend of GW 2‑Row, Rahr Pils, Linc Stingray White Wheat, and Weyermann Acidulated malts, lightly hopped with Strata for a hint of citrus, and fermented with yeast 3470. Each batch is infused with up to 18 gallons of fresh strawberry juice, delivering a delicate berry sweetness that complements the clean lager backbone without overpowering it. The result is a beautifully balanced beer with a subtle fruit aroma, smooth malt character, and a crisp finish—perfect for sipping on a warm-weather evening or enjoying on a laid-back porch.
Samuel Smith’s Organic Strawberry Fruit Beer
5.1% ABV
One of the oldest operating breweries in the world, Samuel Smith’s Old Brewery has been brewing with the same strain of yeast in the same stone vats for 255 years. They even keep a small team of Shire horses — a breed that traditionally pulled brewery wagons — to deliver beer around its hometown of Tadcaster. Yet, despite this tradition, Samuel Smith’s is remarkably modern. All but one of its beers are vegan, and the brewery has an entire line of organic ales, including its Strawberry Fruit Beer. According to Sam Smith’s, it’s brewed at All Saints Brewery in Stamford, England, using all manually operated equipment. Barley and wheat are combined to make an ale, fermented and aged for an extended period, then taken to Samuel Smith’s brewery in Tadcaster, England. It is at this stage where they blend in pure strawberry juice to create a fruit-forward ale with malt and some bittering hops on the back.
Prairie Strawberry Soulmate
5% ABV
Prairie Artisan Ales’ Strawberry Soulmate is a delightfully vibrant, fruit-forward sour ale that blends bright strawberry and zesty lemon into a strawberry-lemonade-inspired sip. The flavor delivers a vibrant puckered sour punch—lemon upfront with strawberry sweetness riding the wave—complemented by a crisp, tart finish.
Triceratops Strawberry Golden
5% ABV
Homebrewer Rob Horn left New Jersey to become a firefighter at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He and his wife, Kelly, opened Triceratops Brewing in August of 2014. With the last name Horn and three awesome kids, is there any other name? Initially, they brewed out of their garage. After thriving there for three years, they opened a tasting room next to Matchless Brewing in Tumwater. Their Strawberry Golden is a classic blonde ale brewed with 20 pounds of strawberries from Thurston County per barrel. Horn added strawberries three days before the end of fermentation to achieve a slightly dry strawberry finish, without compromising the delicious strawberry flavor.
Logan Heart of Gold
6% ABV
Chris Palumbo, a UC Davis graduate in Managerial Economics with a focus on brewery production, combined his professional brewing experience from Sacramento and Seattle with over a decade of homebrewing to establish Logan Brewing. The brewery’s taproom features a video game-inspired theme, reflecting Logan’s passion for video and board games, and fosters a family- and dog-friendly atmosphere. And Pride. Logan Brewing’s Heart of Gold is their annual Pride beer. This strawberry-mango blonde ale is brewed specifically to celebrate Pride and to kick off the celebration for Burien Pride. The brewery hosts a street party in front of their Burien taproom each year to mark the occasion.
