6-Pack of Things To Do: Oct. 31-Nov. 1

From boo! to brew …

SCARY SPOTIFY BEER FLIGHT: Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you know that it’s Halloween. But then again, if you’ve been living in a cave, every day is fit for batty behavior, and today is no exception! Peaks & Pints is going to put the “eerie” in beerie, or something. Mix Master Chu dropped by Peaks & Pints last week with a Spotify Halloween Playlist to pair with scary beers from our cooler for your listening (and drinking) pleasure. The beers and pairing songs are below with the actual playlist on the Peaks & Pints Spotify. Don your cape, grab a to-go order of Peaks sandwiches with these beers, call out your best Monster Mash buds, and push play on Peaks and Pints Pilot Program: Halloween Spotify Beer Flight. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 3816 N. 26th St., BassDropProctor, Tacoma

PROCTOR TREATS: It’s Halloween. If you have kids, this means you probably need to find someplace to take them trick-or-treating. This being the case and putting what you learned as a kid to good use, go where the goods are plenty. Start at the annual Proctor Treats Halloween celebration from 4-6 p.m. if you’ve got little ones — where the roads (or a road) in the historic Proctor District will literally be shut down for the sake of encouraging trick-or-treaters — and go from there. There’s a bounty to be had. Drop off the kids with a sitter and head back to Proctor to take a stab at the Peaks & Pints tap list. 4-6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, Proctor District, North 26th  and Proctor, Tacoma, no entry fee

PARANORMAL PARKWAY: Mephistopheles is the crafty shape shifter, the second fallen angel; he who does not love light. Herein he patiently lies, waiting and willing to do your bidding, but for a price. Enter into his darkness, a tangled and intricate labyrinth of bittersweet rapture. Enter into the Parkway Tavern. The Tacoma North Slope craft beer tavern hosts scary beers from Avery Brewing, including the demonic Mephistopheles, Beast and Samael’s — all with very high alcohol by volume percentages. Because it’s Monday, the Parkway will also have its coveted Randall flowing with no doubt some scary goodness. It’s Halloween, so don a costume — maybe a Rogue Dead Guy hat and a pen snug on the ear. Witching hour is 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 313 N. I St., Tacoma

MOVIE: The Blue Mouse Theatre in Tacoma’s Proctor District will screen Black Adam Halloween night. In development for nearly a decade, Black Adam (PG-13) casts Dwayne Johnson as Teth Adam, an ancient, indestructible hero who protects the fictional nation of Kahndaq, which is located somewhere in the Middle East. Teth Adam has his own brand of justice that’s far different than other DC heroes, as he’s not afraid to kill people. (Anti-hero alert!) In fact, he seems to get off on it. 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, Blue Mouse Theatre, 2611 N. Proctor St., Tacoma

PEAKS AND PINTS ANNIVERSARY: Join Peaks & Pints to celebrate our sixth circuit around the fading sun. Enjoy a new house beer Fort George Blue Mouse IPA, new house cider Yonder Cider House of Yonder, farewell to Old Schoolhouse Between Peaks IPA and Double Mountain Tossed Apple Cider, firkin of Hanssens Artisanal Lambic Experimental Raspberry on the bar top, bottle pours of Cantillon and Oud Beersel Rabarberlambiek, lumberjack cake by Grit City Bakery, and endless smiles of the staff from behind and in front of the bar. Happy Sixth Anniversary to us! Thank you, all of you! Cheers! 5-10:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 3816. N. 26th St., Basecamp Proctor Tacoma, no cover

PODCAST: Grit & Grain Podcast sat down with Steve Luke to discuss his days at Allagash Brewing, Captain Lawrence Brewing, Harpoon Brewery, Rogue Ales, Elysian Brewing and, of course, Cloudburst Brewing — although expect more from Elysian and Cloudburst next Friday when we invite him back for Episode 18. On Episode 17, though, Luke gets geeky with yeast and hazy IPAs but brings all the laughter with his beer names, white board, and F-up stories. To listen to Grit & Grain Episode 17 with Steve Luke of Cloudburst Brewing, and the previous Grit & Grain episodes, visit gritandgrainpodcast.com, or search your favorite podcast mediums. Cheers!
