Peaks and Pints New Beer in Stock 10.8.23

The worst part of weekend is that they end. And associating the worst part of the weekend with the day it happens has given Sunday a bad rap. And that’s why, come Sunday night, you should open something new. Do it for you, and do it for Sunday.

ANIMAL COOKIES, Block 15 Brewing: Hazy IPA with pineapple, tangerine, mango, pine, and dank herb hop characters. 7%, 16oz

BIG YIKES, Modern Times Beer: Double IPA with heaps of HBC 586, Citra Cryo, and Mosaic Cryo hops for a blueberry milkshake waterslide that’s being gently delivered into a ball pit filled with fresh, ripe tangelos. 8.5%, 16oz

BRUT IPA, 7 Seas Brewing: Do you know why this brut IPA still exists while most have disappeared? Because we think it’s the best of the lot. Head brewer Travis Guterson employs a certain enzyme to the process that breaks down malt starches into fermentable sugars, leaving the beer with nearly no residual sweetness. Amarillo, El Dorado, Citra and a touch of Strata hops are added only for flavor and aroma. 6.9%, 12oz

COLUMBUS ARCHITECT, Fort George Brewery: Collaboration with Ghost Town Brewing in Oakland, California, this crisp, aromatic fresh hop IPA is brewed with fresh Columbus hops for tons of sweet, dank citrus and pine. 6.66%, 16oz

CONES OF HOPSHIRE, Urban Family Brewing: Collaboration with Single Hill Brewing, this fresh hop hazy IPA is brewed with fresh HBC-586 and Amarillo hop cones. 6.5%, 16oz

FRESH FLUFF, Matchless Brewing: Hazy IPA brewed with CLS Farms fresh hops — one with fresh Citra in the brew kettle and fresh El Dorado for the dry-hop — for juicy fruity flavor and a body of cotton candy. 6.4%, 16oz

FRESH HOP STOWAWAY, Old Schoolhouse Brewery: Brewed with huge bags of Simcoe freshies from Perrault Farms, plus Citra and Mosaic, this Northwest-style pale is light and crisp. 5.8%, 16oz

OUTSIDE YOUR MIND, Belching Beaver Brewery: Double hazy IPA brewed in honor of the Southern California brewery’s 11 incredible years. 8.3%, 16oz

ROCK, PAPER, CASCADE, Fort George Brewery: Bright, crisp fresh hop pale ale brewed with fresh cascade hops in the HopBack, plus a smattering of Cascade Cryo to balance the abundance of bold, herbal fresh hop flavor. 5%, 16oz

STORY OF THE GHOST, Block 15 Brewing: Hazy pale ale with otherworldly hop flavor of dank herbs, pine, and tropical fruit. 8.75%, 16oz

SUNSCHEIN, Block 15 Brewing: Brewed with Northwest craft malts and hops, this helles is crispy, delicately malty, and floral hopped pint of liquid gold.

TIDE LAND STOUT, Fort George Brewery: Rich, nuanced flavored 15-month barrel aged imperial stout meets fresh, young, low-ABV stout for all the malty, thick complexity of a barrel and none of the high alcohol content. 7%, 12oz

WINTER SOLSTICE, Anderson Valley Brewing: Creamy winter warmer with caramelized malty and spicy aromas redolent of cinnamon, allspice, black currant, black licorice, followed by sweet caramel flavor, hints of seasonal spices and a clean, malty finish. 6.9%, 12oz
