Happy Friday, all. Have a look at the beauty yielded by the work over the past sixteen months @treehousefermentory featuring a selection of berries, a flower share portion, farm shares, newly-planted vines, young plum tree blossoms, and our manual apple press at work. Contrary to our restless nature in Charlton, the Fermentory is, by intentional construct, a slow burn project that will take years to fully realize. The tireless work of many, including farm manager @farmoutlandish , orchard manager @brianscott345 and their respective crews has thus far yielded vast expanses of natively grown fruit and organically farmed produce that will nourish our beverage program and the local community in the years ahead. Though the farm is currently only open to farm shareholders, the wheels are turning on several projects that will soon bear fruit. We trust and hope you are well. Today I’m @narrowsbrewing for One Off Wednesday and was also able to enjoy a delicious fruit beer by @sigbrewing called Pineapple Upside Down with a Cherry On Top. The color was absolutely perfect with a pineapple yellow/orange on the bottom and an increasing cherry red towards the top. Smelled as named, like pineapple upside down cake and the taste followed suit (very rich). Just another wonderful day in the PNW! ??RAD LEMONS?? . Dry-hopped lemon radler brewed with @skagitvalleymalting Talisman Pils, @weyermann_specialty_malts BoPils and Carahell this baby is def a beer and not a sugary soda with alcohol! . We hit this Pilsner with Lemondrop and Sterling hops to set a lemony foundation before adding real lemon juice to the fermentor and dry-hopping it with more lemondrop hops. The result? A bright yellow beer with thick white head that drives a mouthwatering aroma of lemonade and malt. . A radler for true beer nerds, you can actually crush a four pack without feeling like you drank a 64oz big gulp of sugar. . Yesterday was a pretty special brew day at our production facility—mashing in bright and early to proudly bring you Black Is Beautiful Imperial Stout. We stand alongside @weatheredsoulsbrewing and over 1,000 other breweries worldwide in this collaborative effort. 100% of the proceeds from our #BlackIsBeautiful sales will be distributed to the NAACP chapter of Corvallis/Albany, OSU Student Chapter on Campus, and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We are honored to assist these incredible organizations to lift their voices in the fight for equal rights, both in our community and nationwide. For our version of Black is Beautiful, we stayed very close to the base Imperial Stout recipe, further maturing our version on over 600 lbs of Oregon-grown blackberries. Black is Beautiful will be available on draft and in 16oz cans on or around August 21st—with an additional portion of the beer set aside to be aged in oak barrels for a future release!
