Redhook Brewlab on Capitol Hill To Close
Redhook Brewlab, located in the Pike Motorworks building on Capitol Hill, is set to close after nearly eight years of operation. Parent company Tilray Brands, which acquired Redhook in 2023, confirmed the decision and announced that it is actively seeking a new location for Brewlab. While no specific timeline has been announced for the closure, Tilray emphasized that Redhook beer production will continue uninterrupted, with brewing operations being handled at other facilities. The company described the move as strategic, aimed at finding a more suitable space, while the popular mixed-use Pike/Pine location remains in high demand. (Capitol Hill Seattle Blog)
New Chuckanut Pale Ale
Each summer, Chuckanut brews a special Pale Ale for the summer months that’s refreshing and hoppy. This pale ale features a unique selection of hops in the brewing and dry hopping process each year, resulting in a burst of tropical aromatics. The 2025 Pale Ale recipe combines a solid backbone of Simpsons Golden Promise malt, highlighted by the addition of Sabro, Galaxy, and Citra hops. Light gold, hoppy, and thirst-quenching, the new Summer Pale Ale 2025 will be released in many locations around Washington and Oregon this month. (Northwest Beer Guide)

What Has Brown Done For You?
In a craft beer world dominated by hazy IPAs, pastry stouts, and fruit-laced sours, brown ales often get the short end of the tap handle. They’re not flashy. They don’t come with tropical hop blasts or dessert-in-a-glass sweetness. But brown ales can be quietly complex, and they serve the moment; they deserve your attention. (American Craft Beer)
