TACOMA PREFUNK MONDAY, NOV. 27 2017: Bear Republic Sonoma Pride Blonde and firefighter flick

PREFUNK: Napa and Sonoma County fires have burned an estimated 200,000 acres, 5,700 homes and businesses, and claimed at last 42 lives. As firefighters reign in the devastation, the question, overwhelmingly, has become how to help. Bear Republic Brewing Co. is fundraising with signature Sonoma Pride Blonde Ale with all proceeds going toward wildfire victims in Sonoma County. This blond is brewed Northern Sonoma County style with Super Galena, El Dorado, Citra and Ekuanot hops for a juicy flavor and aroma, complimented by a soft malt character.

5 P.M. PARKWAY RANDALL: Matchless Brewing’s Citrus Belt IPA is inspired by all of the sunny days this Autumn gifted us. Centennial, Chinook and Citra provide a wash of orange, lemon, lime and tangerine with a soft bitterness and a pillowy body for easy drinking. Delicious. Tonight, Parkway Tavern Manager Sean “Circus Belt” Jackson will run Citrus Belt through his infusion tub crammed full of fresh ingredients.

7 P.M. ONLY THE BRAVE: This reality-based drama tells the tale of Prescott, Ariz.-based firefighters — the Granite Mountain Hotshots — who took on the Arizona wildfire of 2013, 19 of whom died. Thus, the memory of the event provides emotional ballast to the formulaic fare, and Only the Brave bests its Hollywood creation to become a heartfelt tribute, yee-hawing bro pranks and all. Catch it at the Blue Mouse Theatre in Tacoma’s Proctor District.
