The Valley hosts a canned food drive and canned craft beer party beginning at 5 p.m.

Still with us? It’s day five of Tacoma Beer Week. …

EDISON CITY ALEHOUSE: All things sour, funky and tart will take over the taps at Edison City Alehouse tonight. The legacy of a few tiny microorganisms — brettanomyces, lactobacillus and pediococcus — will be on full display from Cascade Brewing, Crooked Stave, Block 15, Dunagan Brewing, Holy Mountain, Engine House No. 9 and Brouwerij Rodenbach, among others. South Tacoma Sour Tummy will also include food truck Ham Hock Jones and the Kareem Kandi jazz band. 6-11 p.m., no cover

THE RED HOT: Bend, Oregon now has 22 breweries and a population of 80,000. That’s a brewery for every 3,636 humans in Bend. Bend has the highest microbrewery per capita in the nation and the title of “Beer City USA.” The Red Hot hosts several breweries from Bend tonight, including Worthy Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Cascade Lakes Brewing, Silver Moon Brewing, Deschutes Brewery, Boneyard Brewing, Goodlife Brewing Co. and even Atlas Cider. 5 p.m., no cover

PARKWAY TAVERN: Named after the small, unincorporated Marin County town in which it was founded, Lagunitas Brewing Company is now one of California’s biggest names in beer. Founded in 1993 by Tony Magee, the brewery quickly outgrew its small rural location, aka Magee’s garage, in under a year and moved north to its current home in the industrial outskirts of Petaluma. Parkway Tavern celebrates day five of Tacoma Beer Week with Lagunitas in the house. Expect to drink Lucky 13, Doppel Sticky, Wilco Tango Foxtrot, Imperial Stout, High West-ified Coffee Stout, Gnarleywine and others. 6 p.m., no cover

THE VALLEY: Help feed the hungry. It may be warm and sunny outside, but people are still starving right in our neighborhoods. Tonight, The Valley will be accepting canned food donations for the Tacoma Rescue Mission. You’ll receive a raffle ticket for every can of food for hourly drawings. To make things more interesting, The Valley will have canned beer from 7 Seas Brewing, 10 Barrel Brewing, Hop Valley Brewing, Silver City Brewery and Green Flash Brewing Co. Oh, and it’s The Valley’s second anniversary so Lorin Walker Madsen, The Hillbaileys and Forest Beutel will perform. 5 p.m. cans, 8 p.m. music

PINT DEFIANCE: In an effort to help promote research on Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), breweries from around the country made special craft beers with a unique hop blend in a brewery-based fundraising initiative created to accelerate development of drugs to treat ALS. Fremont Brewing Co. is one of Washington state’s participating breweries, and their limited batch IPA used the special blend of experimental hops donated by B.T. Loftus Ranches and Hopunion. Pint Defiance will donate $1 for every pint sold. 5 p.m., no cover

THE SWISS: You scored a Jack of Hearts at Delia’s Oakland Lounge and a King of Hearts at The Forum Tacoma Wednesday night. You walked away with a Queen of Hearts from The Valley and the 10 of Hearts from Half Pint Pizza Pub last night. Tonight, you head to The Swiss for your final card for the Hop Valley Brewing Co. Poker Pub Run event. Are you crapping your pants with anticipation?! 7 p.m., no cover
