It’s seemingly endless. While Instagram is mostly full of everyday, ho-hum entities — just like you and Peaks & Pints, sharing info about what we drank for for breakfast and solid dance moves — Instagram is also a magnet for craft beer and outdoor enthusiasts. I’ve traveled the world, I’ve seen the best and the worst of what it has to offer, and I’m still grateful to call America home. I feel like one of the most patriotic things you can do, is work to improve this country. I Hope I can play some small part in that. We met Sarah at the Cisco Campground in Emigrant Gap, CA 2 years ago during @sierrastakeout and got to talking about all kinds of sh*t. When we got home took some time to look at her work and were blown away with her ability to create masterpieces out of metal and gems (jewelry). In these uncertain times it is important to support the people you believe in, Sarah’s work is one of a kind. Back when people asked us what was wrong with Allagash White (it was cloudy and smelled different than most beers on tap). Back when Rob had to climb fully into the mash tun to scoop out spent grain. Back when Allagash Brewing Company rented its space in the corner of a warehouse. Only a handful of Portland bars took a chance on pouring our witbier. The first was the @greatlostbear, an institution here in Portland. Huge thanks to the folks at The Bear for giving us a shot, and for continuing to champion craft breweries across our beautiful, beer-loving home state of Maine.

???Happy 4th of July???. There may not be many fireworks happening during the rollercoaster that is 2020, so come set some off in your mouth! ?? We are open today with 18 beers on tap, our house made hard seltzer, and eight different 4-pack options! We are out of the Suntrip and Lost 4-packs shown here but they are still on tap. Along with the rest of the cans in this beautiful video, we have Terra Firma V.5 and Hoppatropica available. Suntrip will return to 4-packs early next week! Introducing Persephone, a mixed culture beer fermented entirely in neutral oak and conditioned on spring flowers, sweet orange peel, and Indian coriander. As our team crafted this blend, they took inspiration from the aromatic, floral, and bittersweet vermouths from Southern France. . Persephone was blended from two different batches of spontaneous beer in our wood cellar. The majority of the blend dates to early 2018 and spent 24 months in neutral oak; we included one cask of more acidic beer from August 2018 in the blend to allow the flavors to pop a little more brightly. The citrus and coriander are a nod to the spices of classic Belgian-style wheat beers, while the flowers contribute aromas and flavors of apple, musk, wild greens, and mild tannin. The Experimental Hint of Smoke was one of our original pilot batches from 2018, when we made a series of beers to test our yeast with the entire range from Skagit Valley Malting. This one is mostly NZ151 malt, with a little bit of white wheat malt, and 7% peat-smoked malt. The smoke here is subtle–you have to look for it–but the beer overall is bright and crisp, with hints of nutmeg and clove on the nose (a characteristic of our early yeast culture). This is our last OG experimental keg, and it’s on draft right now in the tasting room, while it lasts. #wabeer #drinkwabeer #smokedbeers

After my run this evening I decided to open up @unsungbrewing Nebuloid: Lagoon. Described as a Hazy Double IPA brewed with Galaxy, Mosaic, and Azacca, with a touch of Ekuanot Cryo, Cashmere and Citra. I found this DIPA to be quite good and refreshing. It poured a hazy gold. The nose was fruity and the taste came across as juicy, citrusy and sweet, with a thick and creamy mouthfeel. Excellent way to wind down for the evening.
