It’s a wonderful time of the year here at Pelican Brewing. It’s FRESH HOP DAY. – Every year our talented R&D team heads to @goschiefarms to get the freshest hops to put straight into your beer. These delicious Strata Hops were harvested at 7am and will be in the beer by 10am – one of the many reasons we love living in Oregon. – Check out our stories for a behind-the-scenes look at what’s going into your next Pelican pint! Make sure to head to the beach in a couple short weeks to enjoy our beloved untouched Elemental Ale recipe, originally created by Brewmaster Darron long before Fresh Hop beers were a “thing”. We could add a few pounds like a normal fresh hop beer, but we like to go above and beyond and add 350lbs of the beloved Strata Hops to make sure our guests get the punchy hops of their dreams. – This magical day also lands on our Brewery Intern Emma’s last day–not a bad way to celebrate graduation day! Cheers to our team and of course the fresh hops that make days like today, extra special. – #freshhops #freshhop #freshhopseason #goschiefarms #elementalale #bornatthebeach #freshbeer #localbeer #findyourfresh

Hello Finnriver Family and Ciderverse! We are reaching out to ask the community for support for our friend, neighbor and farmer Peter Mustin as he heals from a recent accident. Peter has a long history in Jefferson County, one riddled with years of challenges and perseverance. For those who know this man personally, his resiliency and generosity in the face of hardship is truly inspirational. In spite of life experiences which would demoralize most, Peter remains centered in love and compassion. He is a pillar both of the Black Community and the community at large. He is one of the largest local black landowners, and wants nothing more than to contribute towards building a flourishing BIPOC community. We want to help him heal from his injuries and continue to realize his vision to heal his land and create a thriving farm. As Peter’s body heals, he will need financial support to take care of himself and his family, and to continue to make progress on his land. Peter’s land is adjacent to the Finnriver orchard and is called Woodbridge Farm— a project of love and restoration, honoring Peter’s family roots and lifelong love of farming, plants and beauty. The bridge needs to get repaired, the land needs clearing and new fields need prepping. We are eager to come together as a community and support this farm vision. First, it’s time to come together as a community and help Peter heal his body.” The link to the gofund me is in our bio. ✨@Woodbridgefarm
