As always, Peaks and Pints cares that you stay on top of things; that you have the latest info, the skinny, the 411, or something, regarding new beers in our cooler. What we’re trying to say, in a circular fashion, is that New Year’s Eve approaches, and you know what that means. So without much further ado, here’s a less-than-comprehensive list of new beers in our cooler. Excelsior!

APRICOT SOUR, Mollusk Brewing: Aged 15 months in wine barrels, this barrel-aged sour is bright and zippy with tons of acidity and earthy tones of apricot skin and barnyard. 5.5%

BATSQUATCH, Rogue Ales: Dedicated to the half-bat half-sasquatch creature that, according to legend, resides in the woods on Mount St. Helens, this hazy IPA is brewed with Mosaic, El Dorado and Belma hops for flavors of stonefruit, orange, and tangerine, with a fruity citrus rind finish. 6.7%

HIGH VOLTAGES IMPERIAL IPA, Bellevue Brewing: Brewed with Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops, this hefty, hop-forward imperial IPA doesn’t drink hefty, but rather smooth with floral, grapefruit and spruce notes. 9.3%

SIERRAVEZA, Sierra Nevada Brewing: Inspired by Mexican cervezas, Sierra Nevada brewed this light and crisp lager with a corn chip nose followed by balanced malt flavor with hints of floral hops, caramel and grass. 5.6%

STRAIGHT OUTTA NEWPORT, Rogue Ales: Rogue’s double IPA is back, brewed for the crabby crabbers, sneaker waves, fishermen and big trucks from their Newport, Oregon hood. Backed by Mosaic, Citra, Comet and Hallertau Magnum, this depiction of the West Coast style and the city it proudly hails from is “a bold and flavorful profile, bursting with aromas of grapefruit, tangerine and orange, fruity hop notes and a juicy finish.” 8.7%
