Peaks and Pints will have the Monday Night Football Seahawks game on the big screen.

MONDAY, NOV. 7: South Sound events + craft beer …

The Grand Cinema + Peaks and Pints = Trump and Seahawks

Jazzbones + The Eleven Eleven = Sevendust and 7 Seas

The Swiss + Parkway Tavern = Tacoma institutions

TRUMPLAND

Michael Moore’s TrumpLand is a far cry from Bowling for Columbine, Roger & Me, and Fahrenheit 9/11. Rather than one of his clever, damning documentaries, Moore’s TrumpLand is a concert film very much of the moment, staged, shot, and post-produced recently, featuring the outspoken filmmaker performing a one-man show for an audience deep in the heart of Trump-friendly southern Ohio. Catch the film at 9:05 p.m. in The Grand Cinema.

PREFUNK: There are two ways to get your senses smacked around tonight. First, you can head to a local cafe, drink coffee and take in some open mic action. Sure, you’ll hoot ’n’ holler, eat scones and curse that damn poet who drops his or hers notepad after a play-action-stanza with a defensive blitz of waiting poets, but you’ll also tempt a brain meltdown or sugar high. Instead, shock the senses with a quiet evening with a few friends at Peaks and Pints, catch the Monday Night Football Seahawks game on our 130-inch screen, maybe pick one or three craft beers from around the world in our cooler, grab a Roastmary sandwich or a plate of deviled eggs and chill.

ROCKARAOKE

Whether you opened for Black Flag that one time, or you just like to belt “TV Party” to your cat, the people behind Rockaraoke want you to be their singer. Rockaraoke takes the best part of karaoke — performing your favorite songs for a crowd of drunk people — and combines it with the fun of seeing, and being a part of, a sweet rock band. Pick from a list of songs — from The Rolling Stones to The Cranberries to Lynyrd Skynyrd — and the musicians, who know the list by heart, will back you. It goes down every Monday at 7 p.m. in Jazzbones.

PREFUNK: The 1111 Fest customer appreciation week continues at Peterson Bros. 1111 on Hilltop Tacoma with a different brewery celebration each night for 11 days leading to the big party Nov. 11. 7 Seas Brewing Co. will drop by at 6 p.m. with beer, giveaways and the lovely beer rep Lauren.

OPEN MIC

Aspiring acoustic performers, poets, and storytellers: unite, and take over the 7 pm open mic night at The Swiss Restaurant and Pub. Everyone from open-mike virgins to established artists testing out new material can be found at this popular downtown Tacoma bar.

PREFUNK: Every Monday, the Parkway Tavern pushes craft beers to the boundaries of flavor. Around 5 p.m. a crowd gathers around manager Sean Jackson at the end of the bar trying to break his concentration as he fills the Randall with hops or fruit or even candy. “Hey Sean…What’s tonight’s concoction?” someone will ask Jackson as he hones the goodness. “Hey Sean…Which part of your body are you most uncomfortable with?” another will ask. “Hey Sean… What is the name of your favorite canceled TV show?” quips another. Jackson eventually connects all the lines and loads the tube with infusing spices, fruit or other seasonings to cheers.
