Home, to Jarett, is the Oregon coast — and it’s easy to see why. Despite being less than a two-hour drive from Portland, it feels like a completely different world: sandy beaches stretch for miles; lush trees drape the rugged hillsides in verdant green; the Pacific ocean shifts and glitters in the ever-changing light. It’s immediately clear that this place has a certain kind of magic. You can smell it in the salt air. You can hear it in the waves. And — maybe most of all — you can see it on the faces of the people who call this place home. ~ Read the full story of Jarett’s adventures > Link in bio #UPDRIFTADVENTURE ~ Adventurer: @jarettjuarez / Photos by: @alexandrapallas + Writing by @charlotteaustin

?NEW BEER!? Mt. Hood Magic Style: Kriek ABV: 7.5% Brewed in collaboration with former Logsdon brewer Charlie Van Meter (then of Allegory Brewing). Charlie came up to our old farmhouse brewery in Hood River, and together we brewed a simple wort of Pilsner malt, spelt, raw wheat, and oats, boiling it at length with aged Goldings hops and inoculating it in our coolship overnight. The beer then spent 1.5 years maturing in French Oak casks, before aging with 200 lbs of tart Jubileum cherries from Hood River for an additional 10 months. The beer was then blended with mature saison using our house blend of saison yeast strains to bring some depth and house character to the beer. Tart cherries and funky/earthy brettanomyces dominate the aroma, displaying the terroir from which the microbes and fruit came from. The saison blended in compliment the flavors of ripe cherries, with medium acidity, and the familiar profile of our house saison strains. Overall, a very sippable wild ale! The Tongass National Forest (Alaska) is the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world. Home to over 400 species of land and marine wildlife, this land supports a massive and fragile ecosystem ? The Tongass is currently experiencing threats to its Roadless Rule, which works to protect the last of our wild lands in our national forests from unsustainable industrial-scale logging and development that could devastate these lands and the wildlife that inhabits them. Whether it’s happening in our own backyard or not, these changes will affect us all in the future— so it’s important to be a part of the conversation now ?❤️ Join us tomorrow night with Aslan’s CEO, Jack Lamb, during a virtual happy hour organized by @wa_wild to learn about the Tongass National Forest, the current threat to its roadless protection area, and what we can do to help. ?? NEW RELEASE! We’ve added another beer to our 19.2oz. comic can series, with art by @darkhorsecomics artist Eduardo Francisco. Meet Velocihoptor Guardian IPA, on shelves now. Within the goddess Ninkasi’s hop fields lurks Velocihoptor, guardian and protector of the mystical hops that power Tricerahops’ ability of flight. After all, the name Velocihoptor is derived from the Latin “velox,” meaning “swift,” and “hoptor,” meaning “hop dinosaur.” When she spots an intruder, this swift hop dino delivers a quick and complex punch: melon, papaya, and orange notes collide with just a touch of honey. Find Velocihoptor on shelves now. The weather is beginning to get a bit colder outside, that’s true. But at Block 15, that means there is plenty to look forward to—including cozy nights with a warming glass of Figgy Pudding! Figgy Pudding is our yearly English-style Barleywine brewed with blackstrap molasses and a blend of English pale and specialty malts. Extended maturation in freshly-emptied brandy barrels and gentle spicing with Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice infuses this complex sipper with warming holiday flavors. Figgy Pudding will hit the shelves during our Late Fall bottle release on November 7th alongside Imagine; Imagine, Belgian Waffle; and Framboise Black—all available through our weekend Drive-Thru sale and UPS shipping to Oregon Addresses!

Happy Monday Parkway People, We have set our date to reopen for Monday, November 30th. Many of you have inquired about one of our favorite events of the year, “Honey the Parkway Ruined Thanksgiving”. We will sadly not be attempting this glorious extravaganza this year. If you have ever attended Honey Night, you know it to be the party to end all parties. Search your heart; as disappointing as this news may be, we all know this is an all or nothing event. Packed house, butts to elbows, gratuitous tap list, all the friends, and an excess of merriment. Please don’t despair dear Parkway Friends, someday soonish you will have to break out your big kid party pants for some quality time with us. Until then, we miss you, and think of you often. In the meantime, if you are able… please support the other members of our bar family that are open. @hankspizzatacoma, @terrysoffice, @colesruston, and @westendtacoma. Cheers! . . . #StadiumDistrict #TacomaBars #NorthTacoma #Tacoma #GritCity #TacomaDrinks #ParkwayFamily #ParkwayLove

Fall has arrived full force in Washington. The colors are here and the air is crisp and cool. And the rain! I live for Washington summers, but fall has its perks too. Like comfy flannels all day every day! What’s your favorite thing about fall? • Dry from @almaciderco is made from Gravenstein, Pink Pearl, Jonagold, and Dolgo Crab apples plus Flemish Beauty pears. At 6.3% ABV it pours a pale yellow with a sweet apple nose. A mild dry cider, this is slightly tannic with a hint of bitterness. There’s a bit of tartness too and zero funk or must. A great everyday dry that’s easy to drink and definitely sessionable. Cheers ? . . . . . #cider #ciderlover #drinkcider #pickcider #ciderreview #cidertasting #ciderculture #pnwcidergirl #craftcider #craftnotcrap #drinks #vegan #vegetariangirl #cheers #craftbeer #glutenfree #ciderlife #ciderrevolution #rethinkcider #fall #flannel #fallvibes #drycider
