TACOMA PREFUNK SATURDAY, DEC. 16 2017: Gritty City Sirens Caroling Pub Crawl and Merry Dankmass

PREFUNK: When we think about Christmas, we think burlesque. There’s something about sultry, fishnets and pasties that send joy to our hearts. Apparently, we are not alone. Tacoma’s burlesque troupe Gritty City Sirens celebrate their 7-year anniversary with a Christmas Caroling Pub Crawl in Tacoma tonight. The buxom crew of ladies will be decked head to toe in sparkles, feathers, lace and mistletoe as they make their way to the Eleven Eleven at 6:15 p.m., Peaks and Pints at 7:30 p.m. Doyle’s Public House at 8:45 p.m. and ending at the Zodiac Supper Club at 10 p.m. They’ll host a raffle at each stop to benefit the Sirens’ 2018 productions.

NOON TO 11:30 P.M. MERRY DANKMAS: You are invited to experience the glorious, lupulin-fueled majesty of Wingman Brewers’ Merry Dankmass. Expect awe-inspiring mastery of alpha acids Crump Juice NEIPA, The Dank Nebula CDA, Purple Urkle Blueberry IPA, It’s 420 Somewhere Imp IPA, Red Hot Chili Ace IPA, Tangerine Dream Ace IPA and Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA with music by Stephanie Anne Johnson and the Highdogs at 7 p.m.

9:10 P.M. RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE: In a country with one boring-ass version of Santa Claus, it’s nice to be reminded that in other countries, Santa can be freakin’ scary. And thus: 2010’s Finnish horror-comedy Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale, a cult favorite in which a dumb little kid discovers the sinister truth behind Christmas. In short: Santa’s coming for you at 9:10 p.m. in The Grand Cinema.
