TACOMA PREFUNK MONDAY, AUG. 28 2017: Holy Mountain Transfiguration and Score Film Music Documentary

PREFUNK: Today’s Prefunk includes a documentary examining the magic of film music. Peaks and Pints has Holy Mountain’s Transfiguration (6.1% ABV) flowing from our Western red cedar tap log. Someone should film a documentary on this clean, delicious saison brewed with pilsner malt and Vienna, then hopped in the kettle with Motueka and Waimea. Transfiguration was fermented in stainless and then dry-hopped with Waimea. It’s amazing.

2:20 AND 7 P.M. SCORE — A FILM MUSIC DOCUMENTARY: What makes a score unforgettable? Taking a peek at how composers developed some of the most iconic scores in history, Score: A Film Music Documentary follows the creative struggles of designing a modern soundtrack from scratch, featuring some of cinema’s most recognized names in film music. The Grand Cinema, Tacoma

10 P.M. ROCKARAOKE: Let’s tally up the score for Jazzbones Rockaraoke, shall we? A chance to sing onstage with a live band? Yes. Cheap Hamms and Jager? Yes. A valid excuse to drink on a Monday (repeat, Monday) night? Yes, yes and, oh God, yes. Jazzbones, Tacoma
