TACOMA PREFUNK FRIDAY, MAY 4 2018: Fremont Head Full of Dynomite v3 stages full of rock

PREFUNK: Fremont Brewing excels at hazy IPAs, especially commanding the actual opaque, dense colored quality of the hazy to bloom, making for an incredible visual treat. Lots of fruit flavor, especially in its Head Full of Dynomite series, which version three is on tap and in the cooler at Peaks and Pints. Head Full of Dynomite v.3 (6.8%) has a malt bill of 2-Row Pale, Rolled Oats, Flaked Wheat and White Wheat with Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, Sorachi Ace and Mosaic hops for aroma of tropical fruit, watermelon and citrus zest and flavors of papaya, pine and bubblegum.

8 P.M. ROCK TRIBUTE NIGHT: One of the hardest working and in demand musicians ever to grace our area’s nightlife scene, Jonny Smokes consistently impresses audiences with his grunge influenced fluid vocals and masterful guitar technique. If he’s not performing in his original music bands, he’s Jerry Cantrell in his Alice In Chains tribute band, Jar of Flies. The band makes a point to pay its respects at the beginning of each show so that people are aware that Jar Of Flies is humbly honoring the greatest rock band ever, Alice In Chains. Opening the show at Louie G’s in Fife will be Washed in Black, Outshined and Stargazer.

9 P.M. HEAVY ROCK: The Valley hosts a heavy rock show tonight with lead singer Shanesaw and his Ancestors of God headlining. Can hair dressers rock? Yes they can.
