Peaks & Pints Tripping Animals Beer Flight

Share

Color arrives first — neon, tropical, unapologetic — splashed across labels, glowing in the glass, embedded in the way Tripping Animals Brewing treats beer less like a rulebook exercise and more like a living art project. Founded in 2018 by four longtime friends — Daniel Chocron, Ignacio Montenegro, Iker Elorriaga, and Juan-Manuel Torres — the brewery carried its creative spark from Caracas to South Florida, landing in Doral with Miami’s sun-soaked surrealism fully intact. From the start, fruit, hops, and imagination were encouraged to roam freely, but never without intention. These beers feel alive, saturated with purpose, equally comfortable being playful and precise, like joy engineered by people who know exactly what they’re doing and choose fun anyway.

Beneath the cartoon grin and candy-leaning palette, however, lives serious brewing discipline. Tripping Animals understands softness, saturation, and balance at a molecular level, crafting hazy IPAs that drift instead of collide and fruited sours that sparkle without screeching. There’s a steady hand guiding the chaos, a respect for structure that keeps exuberance from tipping into noise, proof that joy and technical skill aren’t opposites but accomplices.

That spirit carries directly into Sunday’s Peaks & Pints Tripping Animals Beer Flight, which behaves less like a tasting menu and more like a mood shift. Tart fruit and pink lemonade fizz wake the palate first, followed by hazy IPAs that glow, shimmer, and gently bend perception. These are beers meant to be felt as much as parsed, an invitation to loosen your shoulders, lean into the color, and let Tripping Animals take you somewhere bright, fizzy, and just strange enough to stick.

Tripping Animals The Happiest Animal

6.0% ABV | Fruited Sour Ale

Joy arrives fully carbonated here, bright berry snap and lively tartness landing like a grin you didn’t plan on wearing but can’t shake once it shows up. Fruit and acidity move in rhythm rather than competition, creating a beer that’s juicy, buoyant, and unapologetically cheerful, a technicolor mood lift that earns its name without irony.

Tripping Animals Limonada Rosada

6.0% ABV | Fruited Sour Ale

Think pink lemonade with a mischievous streak: raspberry and strawberry sweetness splashing against a sharp squeeze of lime, all fizzing and restless like summer refusing to sit still. Limonada Rosada wakes the palate without overdoing it, tart without tantrum, fruity without fluff, equal parts poolside nostalgia and neon art show.

Tripping Animals Ever Haze

7.0% ABV | Hazy IPA

Here the volume drops and the glow settles in, mango flesh, grapefruit zest, and soft citrus perfume filtering through a pillowy haze that feels like sunlight through palm leaves. Ever Haze drifts rather than charges, a low-bitterness daydream that invites you to linger, relax, and let the edges blur just enough.

Tripping Animals Chessie’s The Trip

8.2% ABV | Hazy Double IPA

The finale slides in sideways, white-grape glow, lime zest snap, and tropical haze wrapped in a saturated hum that reads more lucid dream than brute-force IPA. Freestyle Nelson, Motueka, and hop kief are layered with a painter’s touch, producing a double IPA that feels plush yet precise, juicy without losing its footing as the colors begin to bend.
