Peaks & Pints Narrows Proctor Prefunk Flight

Share

Proctor District evenings have their own tempo — a little slower, a little more conversational, the sidewalks carrying that familiar Tacoma rhythm of neighbors waving across storefront windows and friends lingering longer than planned. For Tacoma Beer Week, that rhythm sharpens into something festive but still unmistakably local. Peaks & Pints’ Proctor Prefunk taps directly into that feeling, offering a place to gather before the trivia lights come up at the Blue Mouse and the night fans outward into Tacoma Beer Week’s friendly chaos.

Naturally, the tap list leans into the neighborhood as well. Narrows Brewing — a Tacoma institution that has spent more than a decade pouring pints within sight of the Narrows Bridge — anchors the evening with a flight built around both familiar favorites and the brand-new Proctor IPA brewed in collaboration with Peaks & Pints for Tacoma Beer Week. The lineup moves from crisp West Coast pilsner and breezy kölsch through bright, hop-forward ales and classic Northwest evergreen character, tracing the arc of Tacoma’s modern beer voice in five pours. It’s a compact tour of hometown brewing personality — the kind of flight that sparks conversation, tunes the palate, and sets the tone before the lights dim down the block.

Peaks & Pints pours the Narrows Proctor Prefunk Flight — a Tacoma-built lineup from our friends at Narrows Brewing designed to warm up the palate before the night wanders further down Proctor Street.

Narrows Pacific Snap West Coast Pilsner

5.2% ABV | West Coast Pilsner | Tacoma, Washington

Clean, bright, and quietly mischievous, Pacific Snap strolls in dressed like a proper lager before the hops loosen the tie. The foundation is pure pilsner malt — crisp grain, lightly toasted crust, that refreshing snap you expect from a well-behaved pils. Then the Pacific Northwest adds its accent: Cascade and Alora lift aromas of citrus peel, orchard fruit, and a faint evergreen whisper. It finishes brisk and lively, a lager with just enough hop swagger to keep IPA drinkers smiling while the evening in Proctor stretches comfortably ahead.

Narrows Cliffside Kölsch

5.1% ABV | Kölsch

Sometimes the boldest move in a hop-heavy room is restraint. Cliffside Kölsch pours pale and luminous, offering delicate notes of fresh bread, soft floral hints, and the clean grain character that makes this Cologne-born style such a quiet classic. A gentle bitterness keeps everything tidy while the finish lands crisp and refreshing, like a cool breeze rolling across the Narrows on a clear afternoon. Elegant, balanced, and dangerously easy to drain — the kind of pint that vanishes while the conversation is still warming up.

Narrows Octo IPA

6.0% ABV | American IPA

Eight arms, one mission: wrap the palate in hops and tug it gently out to sea. Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, and Strata swirl together in a bright citrus storm — flashes of grapefruit, orange zest, and tropical brightness riding atop a steady current of pine. A touch of wheat and oats softens the edges just enough to keep the bitterness nimble rather than aggressive. The finish snaps clean and coastal, like salt air cutting through a warm afternoon along Commencement Bay.

Narrows Brewing Proctor IPA

6.3% ABV | Northwest IPA

Some beers feel engineered for a place, and this one practically smells like the Proctor sidewalks after rain. Built for Tacoma Beer Week in collaboration with Peaks & Pints, Proctor IPA threads bright citrus and Northwest evergreen through a lightly toasted malt frame that keeps everything grounded. The bitterness lands confident but welcoming — firm enough to wake the palate without stealing the show — while the finish lingers with a faint resinous glow. The ingredients will rotate — this version is brewed with Nectaron and Cryo Mosaic.

Narrows West End IPA

6.8% ABV | American IPA

There’s a bit of Tacoma swagger in this glass — coastal air, hillside evergreens, the sense that the Sound is never far away. West End IPA layers Cascade and Chinook’s classic piney brightness with flashes of mango and citrus from Amarillo and El Dorado. Beneath it all sits a steady backbone of pilsner and Munich malt, keeping the bitterness confident yet balanced. The finish is crisp, dry, and quietly resinous — a hometown IPA that feels both familiar and freshly alive.
