But today—today—we kneel before a darker divinity: Fort George Brewery’s Matryoshka, a Russian imperial stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels and layered like a fevered dream. The aroma alone is a dessert buffet in a smoky jazz bar—chocolate syrup, toffee, graham cracker, marshmallow, and yes, the ghost of grilled steak. The sip?
