And though we are built on the sacred bones of craft beer, we cast no shade if your thirst leads you to a cider, a wine, a cold brew benediction, or the probiotic thrum of kombucha. But today—today—we kneel before a darker divinity: Fort George Brewery’s Matryoshka, a Russian imperial stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels and layered like a fevered dream. The aroma alone is a dessert buffet in a smoky jazz bar—chocolate syrup, toffee, graham cracker, marshmallow, and yes, the ghost of grilled steak. The sip? Tangy and opulent, with oak and whiskey leading the waltz, chased by chocolate liqueur, coconut shavings, molasses, and burnt toast’s bitter memory. It’s thick. It’s sticky. It’s symphonic.
