Peaks and Pints Monday Cider Flight: Yonder Holiday

Share

Founded in August 2020 by CEO Caitlin Braam and crafted by Head Cidermaker Monique Tribble, Yonder Cider makes savory, subtly sweet and high ABV ciders in Wenatchee with a taproom in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, which is shared with Bale Breaker Brewing from the Yakima Valley. Crafted using a blend of bittersweet cider apples and juicy dessert apples, Yonder ciders are hardly simple, and never straightforward, but you can always count on them being interesting. In August 2024, Yonder opened Yonder East, a new taproom in Eastern Washington near its production facility in Wenatchee. Stop by Peaks & Pints for an in-house flight of Yonder Cider that we’re calling Peaks and Pints Monday Cider Flight: Yonder Holiday.

Yonder Wassail

8% ABV

Originating from an English tradition meaning “to drink to one’s health,” wassail celebrates cider apple trees while warding off evil spirits for a bountiful harvest. Yonder’s Wassail cider features a blend of juicy culinary apples and Frequin Rouge, infused with cozy seasonal flavors like orange and lemon peels, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, ginger root, and finished with a touch of maple syrup.

Yonder Velvet Cashmere

8.9% ABV

Yonder grabbed their Negroni-inspired winter seasonal — Cashmere — and blended it with Fast Penny Spirits’ Amaricano amaro to create Velvet Cashmere. Tart with notes of cranberry, dark cherry and bitter orange, the addition of amaro brings a beautiful richness to this cocktail-like creation. Aromas of toasted sugar and dark fruit shine through while hints of truffle, vanilla bean and Mexican chocolate mingle with a savory bitterness.
