Spider-Man: Far From Home is the newest chapter for New York’s favorite webslinger, and it leaps into neighboring Blue Mouse Theatre tonight. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever … as a teenager. Filled with an awkward, wide-eyed earnestness — and more self-doubt than the average real-world teen has zits — Peter Parker is easy to relate to for anyone who even vaguely remembers high school. How he balances fighting crime with the needs of teenage life is the essence of the Spider-Man. Anyhoo, in this flick Peter Parker goes on vacation to Europe where he finds trouble lurking in a changed world: Mysterio. Enjoy Peaks and Pints’ Monday Cider Flight and a Movie: Spider-Man: Far From Home centered on a 7 p.m. film start at the Blue Mouse and five tasters full of pear cider.

5% AVB

Pear juice used to produce Samuel Smith’s Perry contains a mix of varieties selected to balance fresh pear flavor with tartness, acidity, and sweetness. Samuel Smith’s uses a wine yeast strain to ferment Perry, providing a clean finish and highlighting pure pear flavor and aroma all the way through to the finish. Expect a dry sparkling pear cider with clear pale straw color, smooth body, crisp but rich flavor of ripe pears, and the appealing aroma of a summer pear orchard.

5.5% ABV

Montana State University friends Micah Roberson, Michael Partheymuller and Kramer Christensen opened Independent Cider in the upper Wenatchee Valley near Leavenworth and Cashmere. They produce handcrafter perry a cider made completely with fermented pear juice as its base — playing up on the natural sweetness and pear flavor in their products. Their Lavender Perry is made with two varieties of lavender harvested down valley from their pear orchards. The blended buds from this mid-summer flower are dried and steeped to contribute subtle lavender notes and flavors.

At Winsome Ciderworks their goal is to create welcoming and easy-to-drink ciders, and share them with everyone. While they take their cider making seriously — and apply over 20 years of wine making experience to creating their ciders — they always keep their products approachable. The Woodinville cidery’s Asian Pear offers delicate Asian pear and citrus on the palate, with an aromatic pear top note.

Dragons-Head-Perry-TacomaDragon’s Head Perry

6.2% ABV

Made with 100 percent pears, Dragon’s Head Perry features seedling pears that are unique to Vashon Island, harvested from trees that were likely planted by homesteaders around 100 years ago. These Vashon pears are blended with true English perry pears for a subtle sweetness, a delicate pear flavor, and lovely round tannins. It’s a multiple gold medalist.

Tieton-Pure-Pear-TacomaTieton Pure Pear

6.5% ABV

Tieton Cider Works takes advantage of its location. In Yakima Valley, the hot and dry days in the summers make it the perfect place to grow pears. Pure Pear is an effervescent beverage that pours a soft straw color with a lightly laced rim. Orange blossom honey and rose petal fill the nose, while the palate is greeted with lively citrus, passionfruit, and pear, along with a long, slightly sweet finish.
