Peaks & Pints hosts Finnriver Cidery can release party and tap takeover

“In the quiet hollow of the Chimacum Valley, as the first green shoots push through soil warmed by lengthening days, we at Finnriver find ourselves at a similar threshold of emergence and renewal,” states Finnriver Farm & Cidery. “Like the apple trees in our orchard awakening from their winter slumber, we too are stretching toward new possibilities while remaining rooted in what matters most.” With spring’s warmth, Finnriver canned two of its beloved varieties, Bloom and Blush. In celebration of Finnriver’s first canning, Peaks & Pints hosts a Finnriver can release party and tap takeover.

Bloom is a semi-dry, fruity, and bright in a can. Crisp, organic Washington apples dance with sweet, organic blueberries, lending this sparkling cider its distinctive purple hue.

Blush is dry, crisp, and light in a can. Tart, organic Washington apples meet organic black currants in this beautiful, pink-hued sparkling cider.

In the rolling farmland of Chimacum Valley along a salmon stream just south of Port Townsend, the Finnriver orchards stretch across 80 acres using more than 20 varieties of apple trees. Its mission is to reconnect people to the land that sustains us and to grow community. It seeks to create deep-rooted and fruitful connections at their farm-based taproom and rural gathering space. Finnriver’s farm and orchard are Certified Organic and Salmon Safe, and the company is a Certified B Corporation, seeking to make business a force for good. The cans represent a natural progression in Finnriver’s story, making its ciders more accessible for adventures beyond the farmstead while remaining true to its principles of working with organic ingredients.

Join Finnriver Farm & Cidery at Peaks & Pints 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, for a night of drinking some of the best cider made in Washington state.
