Hop Roast Coffee Beer Festival

Someone once told Peaks and Pints that coffee and beer are the bacon and chocolate for imbibers — two vices that rule supreme in separate domains, but whose flavor opportunities are magnified when properly combined. And with the coffee scene operating in growing parallel with the craft beer movement, it makes sense that major breweries across the country have already been uniting dark and sweet stouts, porters, as well as IPAs, with the bitter, almost dirt-like elements of coffee beans and pulled espresso. Peaks and Pints will celebrate the unification of coffee and beer when we present our Hop Roast Coffee Beer Festival from morning to night Saturday, Oct. 28 at our little lodge in Tacoma’s Proctor District.
Beginning at 11 p.m. and running to 11 p.m. we’ll be pouring a killer list of coffee beers, as well as coffee from Tacoma’s Bluebeard Coffee Roasters. Coffee craft beers pouring include 2016 Avery Tweak Imperial Stout, Firestone Walker Mocha Merlin Stout, Midnight Sun Brewtality Espresso Black Ale, Oskar Blues Hotbox Coffee Porter, Reuben’s Home To Home Coffee IPA, Skookum Woke Up Quick Coffee Milk Stout, and others.
No admission charge. Your choice of 10-ounce or 16-ounce pours, unless the alcohol by volume is too high for 16s. Flights of five, 5-ounce pours will also be available.
