At Peaks & Pints, where the taps flow and the stereo never sleeps, we’ve decided to make our love affair with music and craft beer official. Enter SudsPop, our Monday night mashup of beer, beats, and beautifully oddball activities—think tap takeovers with a mixtape soul. Each month, a different brewery curates the soundtrack, the pints, and the mischief. For January, Pacific Brewing & Malting Co. is on the dial, and last night their irrepressible sales maestro Andy Kenser brought “Positive Vibrations” to the house—an eclectic, joy-jolting playlist of Solomon Burke, The Black Keys, Damian Marley, Matisyahu, the Pixies and more, floating through the amber-lit air while guests colored smiley faces like ‘70s rebels with a box of crayons and no adult supervision.

First prize? Wes, who transformed the classic yellow grin into a disturbingly charming pig. Shawn Thompson wrapped his in the Cascadia flag and landed second. Joey, with a moody Goth Joker twist, took third. Mac Smith earned fourth by rebranding the face into a full-on Pacific Brewing label. No AI, no filters, just analog delight. All entries are on display now—stop by and marvel.

Next Monday, Jan. 9, Kenser returns with Pacific beer and a tribute to the electric deity himself: “Jimmy Page’s Birthday Party.” Expect trivia, riffs, and a playlist born of Page’s influences, obsessions, and glorious Zeppelin mayhem. If you’ve ever air-guitared to “Ten Years Gone” or whispered to yourself “that solo changed me”, you belong here. It starts at 6 p.m. And remember: “If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed now—it’s just Monday at Peaks & Pints.”
