May 2016 was a blur of hops, hugs, and unrepentant pint-lifting—thirty days of glorious overindulgence strung together like a garland of lanyards and wristbands, perfumed with the sweet sweat of Pacific Northwest beer folk. From the Hop Valley beer-pairing bacchanal at The Swiss to a sun-dappled brewery stroll with Maritime Pacific’s Aaron Wayne, from the cultish reverence of FredFest 2016 at Hair of the Dog to the fizzy waterfront joy of the Gig Harbor Beer Festival, all the way to the digital ribbon-cutting of our very own Peaks & Pints website launch, we were there—camera in one hand, IPA in the other, grinning like festival-tired prophets of the grain.
