Fish Brewing Company in Olympia grabbed a bunch of awards at the 2016 World Beer Awards. Fish’s Leavenworth Biers Boulder Bend Dunkelweizen won United States Best Dark Wheat Beer 2016, Fish Tale Beyond The Pale won USA Pale Silver Medal 2016, and its Reel Ales 10 Squared won United States Best Pale Barley Wine 2016. It was a pretty good day for Washington state breweries at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival Awards ceremony this past weekend. Breweries from Washington state won 16 medals, including seven gold medals.
