Tournament of Beer: Best Northwest Brewery nominations open

Scroll to the bottom of this page to nominate your favorite Pacific Northwest brewery for the 2026 Tournament of Beer.

What is your favorite Northwest brewery?

In April 2026, Peaks & Pints will host the Tournament of Beer: Best Northwest Brewery. Chosen entirely through a public nomination vote, 64 breweries from Washington and Oregon will compete Monday through Friday throughout April. Through daily online voting, Northwest beer drinkers will decide which brewery advances until one is crowned the Best Northwest Brewery. It’s the same Tournament of Beer you know — bracketed, seeded, and fueled by opinion — just with the widest lens we’ve ever used.

This year’s Tournament isn’t about a single beer or a single style. It’s about the breweries that define how and why you drink beer in the Pacific Northwest. Whether it’s a neighborhood brewery taproom you return to week after week, a brewery that never misses across styles, or a producer that simply feels essential to the region, this is your chance to put them in the bracket.

How the Tournament works

Peaks & Pints will take the top 64 breweries nominated by you below and seed the Tournament according to total votes. The bracket will be evenly divided between Washington and Oregon, with 32 breweries representing each state. Matchups will unfold daily beginning April 3, with winners advancing until only one brewery remains.

We’ll announce the full field of 64 Northwest breweries and the official bracket in March.

The Championship Game will take place at the Tournament of Beer Party at Peaks & Pints in Tacoma’s Proctor District on Saturday, April 25. The final two breweries — Washington versus Oregon — will face off live, pouring from our Western red cedar tap log. The champion brewery will receive a permanent handle at Peaks & Pints through the spring and summer of 2026, in addition to a rad beer trophy.

Tournament of Beer nominations

Before the Tournament begins, we need you to seed the bracket.

Peaks & Pints is asking you to nominate the Northwest breweries you believe belong in the Tournament of Beer: Best Northwest Brewery. For this Tournament, “Northwest” means breweries founded and brewing in Washington or Oregon. There are no style restrictions. Lagers, ales, hop-forward, malt-driven, classic, experimental — if the brewery represents the Northwest well and earns your vote, it belongs in the conversation.

Vote for the Northwest brewery you believe should be included in the Tournament before midnight on Sunday, Feb. 15. One ballot will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Peaks & Pints gift card.

The path to the Championship begins below.
