Peaks & Pints Tournament of Beer: Best PNW Breweries Championship Game
Sixteen days in, and the bracket stops negotiating.
This is where everything either breaks open… or locks shut. No more room for soft edges, no more space for “almost.” Just two games, two decisions, and one of them came down — once again — to the thinnest margin this tournament has seen.
Let’s weed through the malt.
Friday, April 24, Final Four Results
GAME 1, WASHINGTON REGION
13. Vice Beer vs. 3. Stoup Brewing
Vice does it again.
At 51 percent, the Vancouver underdog slips through by the narrowest of margins, knocking off a Stoup run that felt steady, controlled, and very real all the way through. Stoup didn’t collapse. Vice just kept hanging around, kept pushing, and found one more vote when it mattered.
This isn’t luck anymore.
GAME 2, OREGON REGION
1. Fort George Brewery vs. 1. Block 15 Brewing
Fort George leaves no doubt.
At 79 percent, the Astoria powerhouse rolled past a top-seeded Block 15 squad with the kind of authority that reshapes the bracket. Block 15 brought depth, precision, and control — but Fort George brought something bigger. And it showed.
Let’s weed through the malt. The following are advancing to the Championship Game:
Vice Beer
Fort George Brewery
One is a 13-seed that keeps surviving by inches.
The other has moved like a force all tournament long.
And now?
They meet.
One game left.
Saturday, April 25, Best PNW Breweries Championship Game
Three weeks.
That’s how long this has been building — votes, arguments, late-night refreshes, the occasional “this cannot be real” moment — all narrowing 64 breweries down to two.
Vice Beer (13) vs. Fort George Brewery (1)
This is the last call.
Online voting runs until 5 p.m. Then we bring it inside — where decisions get louder and a little more honest. Voting resumes live at 6 p.m. at Peaks & Pints, 3816 N. 26th St. in Tacoma’s Proctor District. Ballots double as raffle tickets. One of them lands someone a Yeti cooler covered in brewery stickers and a little bit of glory.
Voting closes at 8 p.m.
Champion announced at 8:30 p.m.
Vancouver vs. Astoria.
Washington vs. Oregon.
One more choice.
One more pour.
One brewery left standing.
