Peaks & Pints Firestone Walker Brewing Flight

Share

Let’s be clear: Firestone Walker Brewing doesn’t just make beer—they summon it, conjuring bold, collaborative magic from the heart of Paso Robles like hop-fueled alchemists with solar-powered grins. And nowhere does that artistry shine brighter than at the recent 2025 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest, a sun-drenched symphony of rare pours, bucket-list brewers, and one utterly unforgettable spirit of camaraderie. Over 65 breweries. 4,000 blissed-out fans. And a festival collab beer—Wandering Don—that tastes like high-fiving your taste buds with tropical thunder. But Firestone’s collaborative fire doesn’t flicker after the tents come down. It glows year-round through creative mash-ups with legends like Odell, joyful collusions with Portland’s Gigantic Brewing, and an unrelenting obsession with elevating the craft while minimizing its carbon footprint. Solar panels? Check. Reclaimed water? You bet. Local grain love affair? Always. And now, Peaks & Pints celebrates Firestone Walker with a Wednesday beer flight, Peaks & Pints Firestone Walker Brewing Flight, built on passion, partnership, and one seriously sexy barrel-aged beast. Bonus: The Grit & Grain Podcast will recap the 2025 Firestone Walker Invitational in the Peaks & Pints Events Room at 3:30 p.m. today. Sit in on the recording while sipping this flight. Cheers!

Peaks & Pints Firestone Walker Brewing Flight

Firestone Walker Pivo Pils

5.3% ABV

The kind of pilsner that could probably talk you into doing yoga naked on a foggy beach at sunrise. Light as a hummingbird’s sigh, effervescent as a flirtatious daydream, Pivo pours like starlight filtered through Bohemian crystal. The nose? A breeze of apple orchard and tangerine zest, with a little peppered edge to keep things interesting. This is dangerously sippable purity—Zen in a glass.

Firestone Walker California IPA

6.5% ABV

Born from two decades of hop-sorcery and IPA prophecy, this is Firestone’s flex—a West Coast IPA that struts confidently into the room smelling like passionfruit, mango, and revolution. It’s as if Union Jack and Hopnosis had a wild fling under the Santa Barbara moonlight, and this beer is the golden child. Citra’s in here twice, Mosaic and Strata are dancing backup, and yes, it knows it’s sexy.

Firestone Walker Wandering Don

7% ABV

A love letter in IPA form, brewed in poetic tandem with Odell Brewing for Firestone’s annual hop bacchanal. This beer doesn’t just wander—it roves, it romances. Bursting with tropical abandon, piney swagger, and citrus zest sharp enough to cut through existential ennui. It’s collaboration as an art form, poured into your glass.

Gigantic x Firestone Never Say Die

7% ABV

Cue the synth, cue the sweatband: this collab between Firestone’s hop Jedi Matt Brynildson and Portland’s Gigantic Brewing is a Goonies shoutout that explodes with hop bravado. Riwaka, Simcoe, and Crystal play joyously with Mosaic Incognito (the coolest pseudonym in beer), delivering a dank-tropical citrus slap that tastes like 1985 punched through the veil of time and offered you a ride.

Firestone Walker Parabola 2025

14.1% ABV

Here lies the beast. Parabola 2025 is less a beer and more a bourbon-soaked, dark-chocolate-dipped, espresso-stained fever dream. Aged in barrels that once cradled Elijah Craig and Henry McKenna like sacred relics, this imperial stout is a velvet avalanche of cherry, vanilla, and roasted longing. Sip it slow. Sip it reverently. And maybe don’t operate heavy machinery afterward.

Drink deeply, toast loudly, and for god’s sake, recycle your cans.
