Peaks & Pints Beer Flight: High-Five Day!
Fat Orange Cat You Had Me At Meow
5.7% ABV
You had us, Fat Orange Cat Brew, at a sour ale brewed with feijoa, pineapple, and strawberry! High-five!
Cloudburst Yay, Space!
6.6% ABV
Late last Summer, Cloudburst Brewing teamed up with Haas & HPA and brewed this hazy IPA recipe with many Galaxy hops from the 2023 and 2024 crops. “Like no joke — THEY WERE THE BEST GALAXY WE HAVE EVER BREWED WITH and we triumphantly declared that THIS HOP IS BACK, BABY!” screams Cloudburst. Welp, Haas & HPA were also stoked on the beer, so much so they wondered if Cloudburst would brew it again for their upcoming booth at the Craft Brewer’s Conference and the Seattle brewery said, “FUCK YEAH LETS GO” with a round of high fives. This time, they used some of their Citra Incognito as well — a natural pairing as there ever was – and voila! All the notes of yellow peach, papaya, tangerine, and mango. Hive-five!
American Solera Know What I Mean
7% ABV
In 2012, Chase Healey and his brother, Colin, opened Prairie Artisan Ales in Krebs, Oklahoma, in collaboration with century-old local institution Krebs Brewing, makers of Choc Beer. Chase brewed and Colin created Prairie’s colorful, cartoonish label art. Prairie Bomb became influential in the trend toward big, adjunct-laden imperial stouts. Chase sold Prairie to Krebs and went on to open his dream/side project with his wife, Erica, in Tulsa: American Solera. The Healeys’ plan involved coolship beers, mixed fermentation, and barrel aging. RateBeer users named American Solera the country’s best new brewery and second-best new brewery in the world in 2016, the year they opened. American Solera was named a James Beard Foundation Outstanding Bar 2023 Semifinalist for their red IPA. Know What I Mean is brewed with Simcoe, Cascade, and Amarillo Cryo for pine-forward notes with enough bite to remain balanced against the sweet caramel and help to bring out the toffee on the end, know what we mean? High-five!
Single Hill Giddy Up!
6.7% ABV
Giddy Up! IPA was first brewed at Highland Park Brewing in Los Angeles. The IPA is back! High five! Single Hill Brewing grabbed and brewed the recipe in their downtown Yakima brewery. Enjoy this punchy, collaborative, West Coast IPA! High five!
Cellarmaker The Slice Is Right
6.7% ABV
A collaboration with Riip Beer, Cellarmaker Brewing‘s The Slice is Right is a bold and flavorful West Coast IPA inspired by the tap takeover and pizza party the two breweries hosted together. Hive-five! Slice is packed with Zumo T90, Motueka T90, Motueka Cryo, Simcoe T90, and Simcoe Cryo hops for bright citrus and tropical notes, a punch of resinous pine, and that crisp, snappy bitterness. High-five!
