AleSmith Coffee & Beer

7.3% ABV

A collaboration with Fort George Brewery and Coava Coffee Roasters, Coffee & Beer IPA is brewed with Citra and Eclipse hops and a blend of Central, South American, and Mexican coffees. It is a coffee-forward IPA with a little grapefruit resin.

AleSmith Speedway Stout

12% ABV

Crashing in with an ABV of 12 percent, AleSmith’s Speedway Stout goes a step further than most coffee-flavored stouts and porters (which derive their flavor from roasted malts) and includes an unspecified amount of ground coffee in the brewing process. The result is an intimidatingly dark beer that pours smoothly, leaves very little head, and is surprisingly light and easy to drink. The coffee flavor dominates: the beer is reminiscent of a freshly brewed iced coffee with hints of chocolate and caramel. It finishes with just a tinge of alcohol, which helps to cut the richness of the flavor and leaves you feeling warm, though whether that’s because of the alcohol or the coffee, we’re not sure.

AleSmith Speedway Stout: German Chocolate Cake Edition

12% ABV

Peaks & Pints was a pit stop for AleSmith Brewing’s Speedway Grand Prix on the road for the second year. The longtime San Diego brewery takes their San Diego Beer Week signature Speedway Grand Prix event on the road, popping up in cities nationwide, including Tacoma. Brewed for the 2024 AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix, their signature coffee imperial stout is brewed with rich coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, toasted coconut, and roasted pecans. Oh, and did you know? German chocolate cake is not made in Germany, but it got its name from the brilliant chocolatier who invented it.

AleSmith Speedway Stout: Peanut Butter Cup Edition

12% ABV

AleSmith transformed its classic Speedway Stout into a decadent peanut butter cup-inspired treat. Brewed with roasted peanuts blended with rich chocolate malts, bold coffee, and Dominican cacao nibs, Peanut Butter Cup Edition sports a balance of salty, roasty peanuts and rich, decadent chocolate. Expect subtle sweetness, warming alcohol, and smooth chocolate for a well-rounded sip.

AleSmith Barrel Aged Speedway Stout: Monster’s Park Chocolate Espresso Edition

13.6% ABV

This imperial stout blends the bold, barrel-aged character of Speedway Stout with Modern Times’ Monster’s Park. It then adds espresso and Dominican cacao nibs for a smooth, roasty flavor profile. Expect rich notes of chocolate and coffee, with a boozy warmth that rounds it all out.
