Peaks and Pints Tacoma Sandwich Special: Thanksgiving Kids Table

Saturday, Nov. 9 2024: Peaks & Pints Kitchen Kylee whipped up Cranberry Mayo to smother Turkey, Beecher’s Cheddar, Honeycrisp Apples, and Arugula on Sourdough. She also adds Tim’s Chips thus the title, Peaks and Pints Tacoma Sandwich Special: Thanksgiving Kids Table.

PAIRING: Bale Breaker Brewing Frenzgiving

OK, a Berliner Weisse makes more sense as a pairing, but how can you not pair this Thanksgiving sandwich special with Bale Breaker’s third Frenzgiving — alone for the name, but also eight neighboring Ballard breweries collaborated on the release: Stoup, Reuben’s, Urban Family, Lucky Envelope, Obec, Wheelie Pop, Distant West, and Bickerson’s.

Caitlin Braam of Yonder Cider originally reached out to Bale Breaker owners, siblings Meghann Quinn and Kevin Smith, and Kevin Quinn (also Meghann’s husband), to open a Seattle Ballard neighborhood joint taproom because the two companies share Central Washington roots. Braam worked with Smith back at Two Beers in SoDo. Bale Breaker already has a handsome taproom in Yakima. Like the brewery, it’s surrounded by the family’s fourth-generation hop farm — much as a classic winery operates right next to its grapevines. But a Seattle satellite means easier access to Bale Breaker’s beers plus comradery with the eight collaboration breweries for Frenzgiving 2024.
