Peaks and Pints Tacoma Sandwich Special: Ham-Ba-Lam 

Saturday, Jan. 11 2025: Peaks & Pints Kitchen Kylee added Apricot Jam to her Saturday Sandwich Special that includes Ham, Goat Cheese, Arugula, and Balsamic Glaze on a Baguette and calls it Peaks and Pints Tacoma Sandwich Special: Ham-Ba-Lam.

PAIRING: Brouwerij Bosteels Tripel Karmeliet

Belgian tripels and saisons pair well with apricot jam because the sweetness of the stone fruit balances out the complexity of the beer. Today, we’re pairing Kylee’s fancy ham sandwich with Bosteels’ Tripel Karmeliet, an authentic beer recipe from 1679 originating in the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. Tripel Karmeliet blends nature’s gifts of barley, oats and wheat to produce a multi-layered tripel, refined yet balanced, with soft fruity notes and a surprisingly delicate taste.
