It is, they say, just a matter of time. How much time? No one can be sure, though we certainly hope it’s very soon — and by “we,” we mean every living soul in the conscious universe. And by “soon” we mean, you know, yesterday. Until then, Peaks and Pints offers a delicious six-pack of hope.

ECTO CREAM POP, Decadent Ales: The newest entrant to the Decadent Cream Pop series of Milkshake IPAs, Ecto Cream Pop is smooth and creamy with big citrus notes and lots of vanilla. It’s definitely the most “milkshake” of their Cream Pop series. 8.7%

GLOWED UP, Trap Door Brewing: New England style IPA dry hopped with Amarillo, Citra and Mosaic hops delivering a big, husky tropical nose. Rich, lemons, mild bitterness, some mango, a bit of toast and earthy malts light up the tongue. 7.2%

TART CHERRY WEISSE, Reuben’s Brews: The first beer Reuben’s Brews released in this year’s sour series, this delicious, quenching Berliner weiss-style ale is fermented with tart cherries for a crisp, refreshing, tart, and balanced sour. 3.2%

LUNA KOLSCH, Ecliptic Brewing: Luna Kolsch is the Portland brewery’s take on the traditional German style with a golden hue, crisp flavor and dry finish. 5%

OUT OF THE WEEDS, Brothers Cascadia Brewing: The Vancouver, Washington brewery went old school with this IPA: bold pine and citrus aromas, a moderate body filled with classic hop character, and finishes with a firm bitterness. 7.6%

OL’ DORADO IPA, Evil Twin Brewing: El Dorado hops front and center for an aroma was of floral, citrus, hops and pine. The taste is similar with more floral, citrus, hops, and pine with medium carbonation and a nice semi-bitter aftertaste. 7%
