Peaks and Pints Instagram Outsider June 8-14 2020

Share

Whether you’ve been on Instagram since its beginnings in 2010 or you’re an Instagram neophyte, you know keeping up on important photos can be overwhelming. If you follow everything and everyone you find interesting, you can end up with hundreds and hundreds of Instagram posts showing up in your feed on a daily basis. Don’t despair. Peaks and Pints has brought back our Instagram column, a weekly look at important and hilarious IG posts from craft beer and cider scene IG accounts so you may catch up on new beer and cider releases and the latest action along the production line. This past week was a roller-coaster kind of week where we, as a society, confronted years of racism, police brutality and the effects of a global pandemic, as well as witnessed inspiring solidarity strikes and marches, and the re-opening of breweries for the first time in months. We need Peaks and Pints Instagram Outsider June 8-14 2020 more than ever.

Be sure to keep posting those Black Lives Matter, Pride Month, and dump trucks loaded with firewood photos, and be sure to tag @peaksandpints if you’d like a chance to be featured! Cheers!

The Seattle/King County chapter of Black Lives Matter is calling for a Statewide March and General Strike on Friday, June 12th. Our mission to grow community and our commitment to justice and equity (see our DEI statement on our website: www.finnriver.com/dei) calls us to respond in solidarity with this action and we will be CLOSED for all business for the day on Friday. We will be back open Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM for curbside takeout of cider and food. We’re sending love and care to all the folks who will be marching out there! Thank you to the organizers and all of you who are showing up for this movement. You can always contact us with any concerns or feedback at: equity@finnriver.com.

Another double drop to get you through the weekend, this time with Samson’s Tropical Vacation and Afterglow! Summer vacations may be cancelled but we’re still bringing the heat with this dope collaboration with @bottlecraft in San Diego. Samson’s Tropical Vacation, is a totally tubular tart ale with pineapple, lime, coconut, and vanilla. (7.5% abv) $22/4pack We’re not sure if it’s the rotating selection of bright hops or the crisp California Ale yeast in Afterglow, but this spin on a West Coast-style IPA keeps us feeling really good after each experience. This batch was brewed with a beautiful balance of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe, and Columbus hops. (7% abv) $18/4pack Both beers are now available on the app for pickup or delivery AND for in-person purchase @greatnotionnw

We’ve spent the last two years researching and planning, sourcing and blending, designing and building. The day has finally arrived, the urban winery is up and running. @TheOBCWineProject is now available in cans across Colorado. We’re so excited for the lineup:⠀ ⠀ – The Red Blend is bold and jammy with aromas of warm spice and dark fruits.⠀ ⠀ – The Rosé is lean and complex with red berries on the nose and green apple, grilled lemon and grapefruit on the palate.⠀ ⠀ – Rosé with Bubbles is crisp with notes of strawberries and white peach that explode from the glass with a quick, bright effervescence.⠀ ⠀ – Bright and zesty, our White Pinot Gris blend offers refreshing grapefruit, peach, and citrus flavors.⠀ ⠀ Stay in the know by following @TheOBCwineproject for all and watch our story unfold. Click the link in our bio to use our Beer & Wine Finder to find some near you!

We welcome people of all races, genders, orientation, socioeconomic status, and backgrounds. We also recognize our company is not perfect, nor is our industry. We will continue to learn and listen, with attention to Black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) voices in our community. When we formulated Trail Blazer, we knew it was something special. We looked at who best could help us convey the meaning and the message behind the beer, and we turned to @creativelou. We’ve now adapted Trail Blazer to cans, and we’re very excited for this next push. Thank you everyone for supporting this brand and us. ? 4 packs of Trail Blazer are now available at your local PCC markets! ?? — On another note, we’ll be opening up for some outside seating today! Puft bubble waffles will be on site from 2-5 serving up their delicious grub. Bare with us as we adjust to this new phase. Please, wear your face masks and don’t come out if you have any symptoms. Stay safe, and we can all get where we want to be. And that’s enjoying a pint of beer in the taproom ?
