Share

Back for its 15th iteration, Seattle Beer Week kicks off eight days of sudsy celebration May 17, 2024. Whether your goal is to low-key drink tasty brews with your friends or get a little more active while you sip, Seattle Beer Week has you covered. The festivities kick off today at 4 p.m. with the tapping of the official SBW beer, Old Stove Whereas IPA, at Old Stove Brewing – Gardens in Ballard. The Seattle Cask-O-Rama featuring 10 casks from 10 Seattle breweries at Beveridge Place Pub and the West Coast Pilsner Party at Full Throttle Bottles is also on tap tonight. Other events this weekend include Saturday’s Haze Fest at Reuben’s Brews, Stour Fest at Brouwer’s Café, E9/Holy Mountain Tap Takeover at The Masonry, and Goatfest West at Beveridge Place Pub and Sunday’s Pine Box Beer Can Derby at The Pine Box. In celebration, Peaks & Pints presents an in-house flight of Seattle breweries — a flight we’re calling Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Seattle Beer Week 2024.

Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Seattle Beer Week 2024

Bizarre Mind Field No. 2

3.2% ABV

Bizarre Brewing’s Mind Field is a rotating series of little ales that showcases seasonal ingredients. Mind Field No.02 is a little ale brewed with German pilsner and Vienna malts, spelt malt, and flaked oats. This little ale is hopped with Sonnet and Cascade, then infused with nettle tips. It’s fermented cool with their house Kölsch strain on strawberries and rhubarb.

Mirage Wind Phone

6.2% ABV

Mirage Beer’s Wind Phone is a gentler IPA dry-hopped with Moteuka cryo and Cascade hops. In some process departures for Mirage, founder and head brewer Michael Dempster brewed Wind Phone with softer water, fermented to a drier finish, and dry-hopped with a lighter hand for a more balanced malt/hop experience.

Lucky Envelope 9th Anniversary

6.5% ABV

Lucky Envelope Brewing celebrated their ninth anniversary with this hop-filled West Coast IPA. Brewed with a blend of Pilsner and 2-row malts, a Citra-Strata cool pool, and loaded up with four pounds per barrel of dry-hopped Citra, Strata, Mosaic, and Chinook, expect notes of sweet mangosteen, pineapple, cara cara orange peel, and sweet pine needles.

Cloudburst Not A Lawyer

6.7% ABV

Cloudburst Brewing adds Not A Lawyer to their other disclaimers — Not A Scientist and Not A Doctor. The Seattle brewery finds joy not being a lawyer because, as the brewery says, “because some people have one helluva job on their hands. We’ll just be over here, making beer, mostly IPA, like this one, brewed with Simcoe, Cashmere, & Citra, letting our minds wander into WHAT THE LIVING FUCK.”

Old Stove Whereas

7% ABV

Seattle Beer Week and Old Stove Brewing joined forces to create Whereas, the official beer of Seattle Beer Week 15. This delicious West Coast IPA is loaded with Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops exuding floral citrus notes tangerine, orange, and mango over a clean and refreshing malt bill.
