Casey McLain, former Washington Beer Blog writer and beer podcaster, will host the Last Call Comedy Showcase at Wingman Brewers Saturday, Oct. 22. According to pre-show hype, “The show is a midnight show, and will feature some of the best comedians in the Puget Sound area. The show starts late, and borrows its concept from Seattle’s Super Secret Show, which, if the myths are all true, has been known to receive drop-ins from some very high profile comedians on occasion.

Anheuser-Busch InBev has acquired something a little different this week. Homebrew supplies. The global brewery has acquired Northern Brewer, which was founded 23 years ago by Chris Farley (not the actor). Since then the homebrew supply group has grown to one of the largest in the United States, posting $10’s of millions in annual revenue.
