Peaks-and-Pints-Tacoma-Beer-FlightPeaks and Pints would like to wish a happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Today’s craft beer flight is dedicated to the mothers of Peaks and Pints very own employees, who have given the members of our team endless support and love, even after our bartenders maybe tested his or her mother’s patience back in the day. Naturally, celebration tends to come in the form of craft beer for us, so we’ve picked five good ones to share with mom. Peaks and Pints has plenty of delicious sandwiches, salads, appetizers and our S’mores Jar desserts to pair with Craft Beer Crosscut 5.14.17: a Flight of Mother’s Day.

Great-Divide-Brewing-Mothers-DayGreat Divide Roadie

4.2% ABV

“Hi Mom! Miss you! So, I’d like to apologize for giving you a constant heart attack during my youth. It must have been hell on you every time I barreled down the brick steps on my tricycles and bicycles. I also apologize for the dirty looks everyone gave you when you paraded your black-eyed 8 year old around the stores. Ironically, I’m digging Great Divide’s new grapefruit Roadie Radler. It’s amazingly delicious — tart and juicy with a slight bitter edge. I also apologize for drawing on my sister’s face with a permanent marker. I love you!” — Peaks and Pints bartender Madeleine Vistica

Epic-Brewing-Mothers-DayEpic Lil’ Brainless Raspberries

5.2% ABV, 7 IBU

“Hi Mom. Well, I’d like to apologize for smashing the window when I was 9. I was just trying to rid the house of flies. I guess a broom was the wrong tool. In honor of such a brainless move I feel Epic’s Lil’ Brainless Raspberry from our cooler would be the perfect Mother’s Day gift. The fuchsia color reminds me of your face color that fateful day. Plus, it’s not just a raspberry beer — It has that Belgian funky yeast with some floral bitterness that lingers … much like your words that day. I love you.” — Peaks and Pints bartender Joe Rosati

Boulevard-Brewing-Mothers-DayBoulevard Show Me Sour

4.3% ABV, 12 IBU

“Mother, I apologize I never believed you were right. I know now you always were, and always will be, right. I was sour about it when I was younger so here’s Boulevard’s Show Me Sour as an apology. It spent a short time in whiskey barrels before blended back for an inviting play on a whiskey sour. I love you.” — Peaks and Pints bartender Erika Horwege

Oskar-Blues-Mothers-DayOskar Blues Mama’s Little Yella Pils

5.3% ABV, 35 IBU

“Mom, I’m so very sorry from throwing up all over the Tacoma Mall Food Court when I was 8. This Oskar Blues Mama’s Little Pils out of our cooler is for you! It has a floral, hoppy bite and finishes crisp and clean — unlike the Tacoma Mall that day.” — Peaks and Pints bartender Max Tomhave

Dogfish-Head-Mothers-DayDogfish Head American Beauty

9% ABV, 55 IBU

“Mom, I miss you so much. I miss our time together. I can’t remember if I every apologized for constantly hiding for hours when I was a kid. My favorite spot was on top of the bookcase. I do remember you laughing when I would parade around in your bra stuffed with bagels (Ha ha ha). You were beauty in so many ways. I will enjoy a Dogfish Head’s American Beauty Imperial IPA after my shift tonight. It’s brewed with granola, which you enjoyed. I love you.” — Peaks and Pints bartender Amber Milhans
