Status:
Still weird. Still bold. Still beloved. Olympia’s Three Magnets Brewing has entered its second act—more focused, more diverse, and just as unpredictable as ever. With Aaron Blonden now helming the brewhouse, the brewery continues pushing boundaries with a rotating cast of IPAs, saisons, lagers, and the occasional barrel-aged fever dream. But their most ambitious leap? Launching the acclaimed Self Care line of non-alcoholic beers—because flavor doesn’t need to come with a buzz, and not drinking shouldn’t mean not sipping something remarkable.

Specialty:
Three Magnets has always danced between worlds—between rustic farmhouse and juicy haze, between hyper-local community building and big-beer defiance. These days, they’re carving new paths with crushable NA beers, experimental releases, and a growing interest in brewing that respects both the palate and the pace of life. Whether you’re drinking a triple IPA or a zero-proof mango hazy, you’re drinking something brewed with actual conviction.

Five Notable Beers (new and classic):

  • Rain IPA – Bright, hazy, and west-of-citrus: a modern PNW classic.

  • Self Care Hazy NA IPA – Surprisingly rich, delightfully tropical, and 100% non-alcoholic—because your liver deserves a love letter.

  • Helsing Junction Farmhouse Ale – Named for the dreamy farm-fest where this all began. Wild, floral, deeply fermented.

  • Howard’s Blend BBA Stout – Barrel-aged slow thunder. Boozy, chocolatey, bourbon-wrapped velvet.

  • Little Juice IPA (Smoothie Edition) – The IPA that forgot to filter itself and instead went fruit-smoothie maximalist.

Recent Accolades:
🏅 Old Skook Barleywine — Bronze, Great American Beer Festival
🏅 Old Skook Barleywine — Bronze, 2015 Washington Beer Awards
🎉 Self Care NA Series — Widely praised across the non-alc beer community and embraced as one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading sober-friendly beer lines.

Fun Facts & Fresh Realities:
💡 Aaron Blonden (formerly Matchless, pFriem, and others) now leads brewing with a tight grip on balance and a loose leash on innovation.
👋 Pat Jansen and Jeff Stokes have long since moved on, though their fingerprints linger in the saison tanks and fermenter bolts.
🧘 The Self Care NA line was born right here, with full fermentation, full flavor, and zero alcohol—crafted to meet the rise of the sober curious without sacrificing complexity.
⚽ The taproom remains Olympia’s unofficial soccer embassy. Big match? It’s on. Bring scarves.
🥗 Food remains fresh, seasonal, and unafraid to include fermented radish or bison tartare alongside your hazy.
