MONDAY PREFUNK: Craft beer before live band karaoke, Jason Bourne

MONDAY, AUG. 29 2016: South Sound events + craft beer …

Jazzbones + The Ale House Pub = Hop Valley in Herre

Galaxy Theatre Uptown + 7 Seas Brewing = The files that Nicky Parsons hacks into shows us that there are/were 10 Black Ops projects: 01. Iron Hand, 02. Spectrum, 03. Hourglass, 04. Rubicon, 05. Spearfish, 06. Larx, 07. Outcome, 08. Emerald Lane, 09. Blackbriar, 10. Treadstone.

Whether you opened for Black Flag that one time, or you just like to belt “TV Party” to your cat, the people behind Rockaraoke want you to be their singer. Rockaraoke takes the best part of karaoke — performing your favorite songs for a crowd of drunk people — and combines it with the fun of seeing, and being a part of, a sweet rock band. Pick from a list of songs — from The Rolling Stones to The Cranberries to Lynyrd Skynyrd — and the musicians, who know the list by heart, will back you. It goes down every Monday at 7 p.m. in Jazzbones.

PREFUNK: So you like competitive sports, and you like to drink, but you wish you could mix the two without the unpleasant side effect of running ’til you puke. Well, you can have your beer and drink it, too, all while winning cool craft beer schwag. Hop Valley Brewing Co. is throwing down the gauntlet and challenging all of you boastful party people to a few rounds of beer pong at 7 p.m. in The Ale House Pub and Eatery in University Place.

Memory loss is a wonderful thing. If you’re Jason Bourne, it can even help you forget that you missed your last picture. After a one-film experiment in making a Bourne adventure without Bourne, Matt Damon is back as the world’s favorite amnesiac secret agent. What happens now since Bourne essentially unlocked all the secrets to his identity a full nine years ago? We haven’t seen the new Jason Bourne — screening at 12:45, 3:45, 6:45 and 9:45 p.m. at the Galaxy Theatre Uptown in Gig Harbor — but our guess he’s running around, punching people in the face, trying to figure out which hereditary diseases he’s prone to and whether his parents ever had him vaccinated for rubella.

PREFUNK: The week’s just begun, but you’re already feeling like it’s time to go out and flaunt your intellectual superiority. Luckily for you, 7 Seas Brewing in Gig Harbor hosts a pretty kick-ass trivia night every Monday this summer. Gather up a few of your smartest friends and prepare to win stuff at 6 p.m.
