Peaks & Pints’ Tacoma Beer Week Basecamp is a daily event in itself — a place to gather\, take stock\, experience the day’s featured Peaks & Pints offering\, and then decide where the rest of the night leads. \nMonday’s Basecamp\, Disney & Dunkels\, doubles as a fundraiser for the Hunt Middle School Musical Theater Program. Peaks & Pints will donate proceeds from all draft sales from 5 to 8 p.m. to help support student productions and keep live theater thriving for Tacoma’s young performers. \nThe evening features a local singer-songwriter lineup including Erina McLaren\, Rafe Wadleigh\, and Christy Taylor — music instructors at Hunt Middle School — share the stage alongside Hunt teacher Krissy Dustan\, trading songs throughout the evening. Expect a relaxed\, living-room-style atmosphere with nods to musical theater\, Disney favorites\, and original songs that feel right at home in a neighborhood beer bar. \nTo match the theme\, Peaks & Pints will tap both American and German interpretations of dunkel lagers — malt-forward\, smooth\, and quietly expressive beers that invite conversation rather than rush. \nThis Basecamp event isn’t about chasing discounts or racing between stops. DESCRIPTION:Pouring It Forward Tacoma Beer Week 2025: Tacoma Arts Live & Living Haus Beer\nPost-pandemic\, arts organizations have become isolated and entrenched in surviving and attracting audiences. Attendance at traditional performing arts events continues to be depressed. \nDespite playing host to 90 creative entrepreneurs\, including musicians\, clothing designers\, improv theater\, and other creatives\, plus their educational arts programs that serve 40\,000+ students\, teachers\, and parents annually in the South Sound\, Tacoma Arts Live\, located in the Tacoma Armory\, struggles with less funding. \nAs part of Tacoma Beer Week\, Peaks & Pints will host Tacoma Arts Live and Living Haus Beer on Thursday\, March 6. TAL will offer free mini-performances throughout the night while audiences sip on Living Haus Beer. Living Haus will also host a plant swap. The brewery invites the public to bring plants or clippings for trade and grab mature clippings from plants growing in its tasting room in Portland. Over the last two decades\, the story has been staged almost nonstop in theme parks\, touring houses\, and middle schools around the world\, including Hunt Middle School in Tacoma … hopefully. Hunt is worried it can’t pay the fee to let their student body perform and watch an arrogant nobleman turn into a beast and\, to break the spell\, try to win the love of the village girl\, Belle. \nEnter Peaks & Pints. We’ll donate a percentage of draft sales that night so the theater kids can present one of the most magical tales of all time. As a bonus\, local middle school instructors and musicians Rafe Wadleigh and Erina McLaren will perform Disney songs live while craft beer enthusiasts shed tears of joy into their beers. \nWill the Beast successfully woo Belle\, the small-town girl living in Hunt Middle School’s lonely turret?
