SUMMARY:Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival
DESCRIPTION:Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival\nHow did you celebrate your 8th birthday? Did you maybe get a fun ice cream cake from Baskin-Robbins? Some party balloons from the B&I? Invite your friends over for a sleepover in the backyard\, or meet up with them at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour? Maybe you were lucky you received a mountain of birthday presents and a bouncy castle. Well\, that’s not how Peaks & Pints celebrates eight years slinging craft beer and cider in Tacoma’s Proctor District. No\, we’re channeling the party into a mini beer and cider festival\, Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival\, complete with the debut of our 2024-25 house cider and beer — Incline Cider Basecamp Proctor Dry Cider and Loowit Brewing Silent Trees IPA. No admission fee. No tokens. No pretzel necklaces. Just carefully curated taps. Oh\, but there will be cake. DJ dAb will spin vibes. Incline Cider and Loowit Brewing will be in the house\, too. \n“Serving Pierce County’s beer-\, cider-\, and sandwich-loving communities for eight years has been an amazing experience\,” said Ron Swarner\, co-owner\, who owns the craft beer and cider bar\, bottle shop and restaurant with Robby and Justin Peterson. “We have met so many phenomenal people and had the pleasure to serve and consume some of the best beers and ciders on the planet. We’re also thrilled opportunities to tap into Peaks & Pints to support causes that are important to us and our customers. Sincere thanks for the eight years of support. SUMMARY:Peaks and Pints AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix Road Show
DESCRIPTION:Peaks and Pints AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix Road Show\nMark your calendars for Halloween! For the second year in row\, Peaks & Pints will be a pit stop for AleSmith Brewing’s Speedway Grand Prix on the road. The longtime\, San Diego brewery takes their Signature Speedway Grand Prix event on the road\, popping up in cities nationwide\, including Tacoma. Join us for an epic night filled with eight exclusive Speedway Stout variants and other delicious barrel-aged favorites on draft. We’ll have fun AleSmith beers in the cooler\, too. Come out and meet the AleSmith team and get your hands on some Speedway and AleSmith swag (available while supplies last). Save yourself from a night of handing out free sweets to waist-high werewolves — and enjoy a far more grown-up fiendish race to the finish. Howling at the moon optional. \nPeaks and Pints AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix Road Show Draft \nAleSmith Speedway Stout \n12% ABV \nCrashing in with an ABV of 12 percent\, AleSmith’s Speedway Stout goes a step farther than most coffee-flavored stouts and porters (which derive their flavor from roasted malts) and includes an unspecified amount of ground coffee in the brewing process. The result is an intimidatingly dark beer that pours smoothly\, leaves very little head\, and is surprisingly light and easy to drink. The coffee flavor dominates: the beer is reminiscent of a freshly brewed iced coffee with hints of chocolate and caramel. It finishes with just a tinge of alcohol\, which helps to cut the richness of the flavor and leaves you feeling warm\, though whether that’s because of the alcohol or the coffee\, we’re not sure. \nAleSmith Speedway Stout: Chocolate Raspberry Edition \n12% ABV\nBrewed for the 2024 AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix\, their signature coffee imperial stout is brewed with cacao nibs\, raspberries\, and coffee. \nAleSmith Speedway Stout: Maple Bar Edition \n12% ABV \nBrewed for the 2024 AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix\, their signature coffee imperial stout is brewed with maple syrup\, coffee and natural flavors. \nAleSmith Speedway Stout: Rocky Road Edition \n12% ABV \nBrewed for the 2024 AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix\, their signature coffee imperial stout is brewed with cacao nibs\, roasted almonds\, roasted walnuts\, Madagascar vanilla beans\, coffee\, and natural flavors. \nAleSmith Speedway Stout: Toasted Coconut Vietnamese Coffee Edition \n12% ABV \nBrewed for the 2024 AleSmith Speedway Grand Prix\, their signature coffee imperial stout is brewed with toasted coconut and Vietnamese coffee. \nAleSmith Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout: Coffee Cake Edition \n12.67% ABV \nAleSmith grabbed their signature coffee imperial stout and aged in it in bourbon barrels with coffee\, vanilla\, and cinnamon. \nAleSmith Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout \n13.3% ABV \nAleSmith aged their signature coffee imperial stout in premium bourbon barrels for up to one year to create Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout with notes of oak\, vanilla\, and bourbon adding another level of complexity to this beer’s already massive flavor profile of chocolate\, locally roasted coffee\, and roasted barley. \nAleSmith Pierre Seine \n14.8% ABV \nComplex with a rich sweet malty presence\, significant esters and alcohol. The malt is rich and strong and can have a deep bready-toasty quality with a deep caramel complexity. The fruity esters contain raisin\, plum\, dried cherry\, fig or prune notes. Alcohols are soft\, spicy\, perfumy\, and are low in intensity. \nPeaks and Pints 8th Anniversary 3-Day Celebration\nPARTY NO. 1: National Cider Month Finale Party and Washington Wild Fundraiser with Schilling Cider\, 5-8 p.m. Wednesday\, Oct. 30\, no cover \nPARTY NO. 2: AleSmith Brewing Speedway Grand Prix Road Show\, 5-8 p.m. Thursday\, Oct. 31\, no cover \nPARTY NO. 3: Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival\, 5 p.m. to close\, Friday\, Nov. 1\, no cover \nLINK: Peaks & Pints beer and cider cooler inventory
