DESCRIPTION:Peaks and Pints Tacoma Beer Week Creative Colloquy\nTacoma will be saturated with verse during Tacoma Beer Week thanks to Jackie Casella’s Creative Colloquy. She’ll gather brilliant South Sound writers to tell short stories\, prose\, or poetry\, and then the floor will open for listeners to do the same — all while enjoying cocktail-themed beers and ciders at Peaks & Pints Monday\, Aug. 12. \nFor the past 10 years\, writer Jackie Casella has mined Tacoma’s rich literary talents and fostered relationships built upon mutual admiration of the written word. She was part of Foster’s Creative “ten of us” 2023 honored for her Creative Colloquy\, as well as years as the Weekly Volcano food critic plus pouring creative cocktails at several local bars through the years. \nIn 2023\, Foster’s Creative\, a Hispanic-owned creative agency launched by Bryson and Kristin Foster seven years earlier\, presented the “ten of us” 2023\, a community project in collaboration with eTc Tacoma\, the streetwear boutique located in downtown Tacoma. The “ten of us” 2023 project highlighted artists\, creatives\, business owners\, and community leaders operating in the 253 area code via a gorgeous coffee table book and equally gorgeous film. As mentioned\, Jackie Casella was part of the “storytellers” group with Mayor Victoria Woodards\, T’wina Nobles\, Markus Trufant\, Lisa Fruichantie\, Amy McBride\, Ron Swarner\, Kwabi Amoah-Forson\, Kris Hay\, Chris Staudinger\, and other incredible community members.
